Museum of excellent scluptures (शिल्पालय) named after late Sh. Vinayak Karmarkar (1891 – 1967), himself. He was a famous sculptor of past. His works include statues of various sizes, subjects & materials. One of the examples of his creations is the famous statue of Shivaji Maharaj weighing up to 8 tons, at Shivaji Maidan Dadar. Facial expressions & postures were specialties of this master craftsman, which are exhibited in all of his statues – irrespective of their size.
